Def Leppard anuncia box com gravações perdidas do início da carreira

Def Leppard anunciou um novo box, The Early Years 79-81, que será lançado no dia 20 de março via UMC/Virgin e que contará com gravações inéditas.

O box tem edições remasterizadas dos álbuns On Through The Night (1980) e High ‘N’ Dry (1981), além do áudio completo de um show feito em Oxford em 1980. B-sides, remixes e outras versões ao vivo também estarão na coleção. O conjunto de cinco discos foi produzido pelo frontman Joe Elliott.

Realmente empolgado por ter nossos primeiros anos retrabalhados com uma carga de material raro, incluindo o recém-descoberto Ao Vivo no Oxford New Theatre, gravado na turnê britânica de 1980. Foi uma viagem montar o box e espero que todos gostem de ouvi-lo tanto quanto nós trabalhamos nele!", disse Elliott em comunicado.

O grupo também contou que o box tem a versão inicial de "Rock Brigade", produzida por Nick Tauber, que deveria ter sido lançada como um single mas acabou sendo arquivada pela banda.
